Police registration

If your passport says "the holder is also required to register with the police", you must register within seven days at:

Aliens Department, Parkside Police Station, Cambridge

You need two passport-sized photos, your passport, and the registration fee of £34.

Health and insurance

We strongly recommend you take out insurance before you come to the UK. Please contact us if you would like us to arrange this for you. We can also arrange for you to see a doctor or a dentist. A prescription costs about £7.00. In the case of emergencies, you can go to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

Volcanic Ash: Guidelines for clients

We will be as flexible as we can and will help clients whereever and whenever possible with regard to issues regarding delays, cancellations, changed start/end dates. The following guidelines apply:

We recommend clients take out comprehensive insurance.

We advise clients to plan ahead for alternative travel arrangements in the event of flight delays and cancellations as a result of volcanic ash clouds - both with regard to flying to and from UK.

If clients are delayed leaving the UK, they will need to make alternative plans with regard to accommodation.

Clients starting mid-week will not be eligible for a discount on tuition or accommodation fees.

Changes to start dates may mean that the desired length of stay, type of accommodation and tuition may not be possible.

We will require a deposit of £300 for students who have booked residential accommodation and £250 for those booking homestay.

Deposits are not refundable.

The school is closed on the following public holidays in 2010:

January 1, April 2 & 5, May 3 & 31, August 30

The school is closed from December 20 2010 to January 3, 2011. The office re-opens on January 4, 2011. Classes begin January 10, 2011
