The New School of English, established in 1962, is accredited by The British Council and is a member of English UK. The British Council inspected and accredited The New School of English, Cambridge in June 2013. The Accreditation Scheme assesses the standards of management, resources and premises, teaching and welfare and accredits organisations which meet the overall standard in each area inspected.

This private language school offers courses in general and professional English for adults (16+) and closed groups of adults (16+).

Strengths were noted in the areas of staff management, quality assurance, learning resources, academic management, course design, learner management and leisure opportunities.

The inspection report stated that the organisation met the standards of the Scheme.
