I studied history at Reading University before doing a Masters degree in Historiography at the LSE. I worked as a teacher in Jiangsu Province, China and Brittany, France before returning to Cambridge in 1990. I became the MD of the school in 1994
I worked as a teacher in The Middle East and Spain before returning to Cambridge. I taught General English at all levels as well as many examination courses. I was Director of Studies at the school before becoming Principal in 2005.
I became co-owner of the school in 1994, where I had already been working as a teacher. Between my studies and The New School, I lived and worked in France and Spain and England, teaching both English and French. I am responsible for managing our Private Residences. I am also involved, as a member of the Board of Governors, at two local schools. My other main interest is in the field of music, performance and enjoyment.
I studied Civil Engineering at Manchester University, followed by working in London and travelling extensively around the world. Having re-trained as an English teacher, I then worked in the Basque Country for 3 years I started working at NSE in 1996, first as a teacher, and then moved into Sales and Marketing 2 years later.
I worked in a Customer Service role for a High Street bank for many years before joining the school as Registrar in 2007. My job is very varied; I deal with all administrative matters and I also have a lot of contact with students. I love meeting and working with people of all ages from around the world.

I have been teaching for twenty years and have worked at The New School since 2005. I have taught General and Business English at all levels as well as many different examination courses. I also work as an Examiner for the Cambridge exams.
I spent two and half years teaching English in Mexico from 1999, on my return I worked in Cambridge. I have taught, been a director of studies and a course director for young learners in the city and now teach at The New School teaching general English, business English and IELTS.
I taught in Greece for 4 years, then in Italy and Austria for short periods. I then moved to Cambridge in 2001, and have worked at The New School since then teaching on FCE, CAE and CPE examination courses as well as General English courses. When I'm not teaching I enjoy playing music and going to the cinema.
I have been teaching English as a foreign language for about 13 years. I have lived and worked in Cambridge as an EFL teacher for about 7 years. Prior to this I lived and worked across England and France.
After many years as a materials engineer, I moved into English teaching. I take classes from elementary to advanced and have worked at The New School since 2010 where I am one of the main English for Professionals teachers.
I have been a TEFL teacher for many years and have experience of teaching students at all levels, as well as being one of the main teachers on our English for Professional courses. I have also been an examiner for IELTS, UCLES and Trinity College London and have worked abroad extensively in many different countries.
I worked at an Accountancy firm in Cambridge when I first became involved with the school in 1994, helping with their accounts. I then became a permanent member of the school in September 2002 becoming their Accounts Manager.
